Tears of Joy Services in Houston is based in Houston and was founded in January 2018, and officially became a 501 (c)(3) in June 2018 . We offer a mentoring program for girls ages 10-17 in our community, schools, and shelters. Tears of Joy Services in Houston cores and values were created on being a service to others, we are unselfish, and we want to be the vessel to our community by sharing love while being more active in our community.
Between May 2018 and November 2020 we were able successfully mentor over 100 young girls in Houston from shelters, community centers, and our mentoring program! We partnered with S.H.A.P.E. Community Center and Buckner Hope Center. We are active with volunteer Houston, and we also have continuously distributed care packages, clothing, and living essentials to the individuals in need. This year along our organization have distributed over 150 care packages to the individuals in need in downtown Houston. We have had a successful back to school program that provided Supply filled backpacks to the youth in our lower income community. In November 2020 we were able to distribute over 50 coats to the kids at Buckner Hope Center.
We also have partnered up with Develop Africa and are currently sponsoring a child a 13 y/o beautiful young girl named "Yeali" located in Sieara Leone Africa ! We will also send school supplies quarterly to Africa with the partnership Develop Africa.
We also are an advocate of sexual and child abuse for our community.
M.E.E. Program stands for Mentor, Encourage, and Empower, we will tour different Middle & High Schools.
